About Ginny
A Dutch Shepherd, Ginny was born April 10, 2010, in Williamsburg, W.Va., at a kennel that breeds high-performance working dogs. Her mother is a Belgian Shepherd Malinois named Miley, and her father is also a Dutch Shepherd known as Arko.
Named after Virginia “Ginny” Taggart, the mother-in-law of Kevin Crutchfield, Alpha’s chief executive officer, Ginny was one of only six potential dogs – out of 44 puppies – tested at the kennel to fill Alpha’s canine search-and-rescue position.
Now weighing 48 pounds and with a beautiful, black and brown coat, Ginny lives with and is trained daily by her handler, Alpha employee Rick McAllister.
